Zomba Plateau
Overlooking the old colonial town of Zomba, the former capital of Malawi the Zomba Plateau reaches around 2,000 metres in height. The magnificent table-top mountain, it is an area of dramatic contrasts, wonderful forest areas containing vast tracts of cedar, pine and cypress trees, streams, tumbling waterfalls and mirror like lakes. It is a green haven and wherever you look there is always something remarkable to behold.
Green all year round the forest is a wonderful place to explore either on foot, horse or by bike. The plateau is also the perfect base from which to explore the town of Zomba and its rich heritage.
